How do you organize your barns?
-
I have 10 barns total and all of them are mushed all together. I have one 90 stall which is for my show ponies. One 60, primary barn(80), six 30 stall barns, and one 15 stall.
Was just wondering how you have organized your barns.EasternShowBarn

I'm going to have to reorganize again. I have 6, not including primary. I'll probably return my 30 stall barn as I got a 90 from Secret Santa. I was doing Gen 1 studs(and over flow), Gen 1 mares, Gen 2 studs(and overflow), Gen 2 mares, "random" and show string(210). I try to keep my primary open during breeding season. Although the next auction after pastures open I'll be able to afford a 1000 stall barn. At which point I don't know what I'll do with myself.
-
I have 40 , or so barns, and 10ish pastures. pastures are set up by generation and then color (I really only have variations on Chestnut, so that makes it easier). Barns are mostly show barns, but I have mares separated by generation, an auction barn, 1 YO barn, 2 YO mare barn, 3 YO mares, colts under 3, and RS horses. My barn ID is 1998 if you want to wander over and check them out!
-
I have 7 big barns I throw show horses in, and several small barns (15-60 stalls) that I keep breeding stock in.. I have organized those in the past by generation, then color/pattern, but now I do it by lines. I have a stallion barn and a few made barns for stock that doesn't fit any one line. And then I have a barn to hold young horses until they can be sorted.
-
I have 8 1K stall barns for show horses, 1 1K stall barn for lined mares, a 210 for boys, 2 210s for foundation mares and a 1K stall barn for babies that have not been sorted yet. Right now I have a 210 and a 1K that is empty and used for auction horses, but they will most likely be filled with show horses too :)
-
I'm similar to the others above, I have several 1k barns to put all the show horses in, a 1k barn for unsorted foals, a 210 stallion barn and a 210 foundations barn, and a few smaller mare barns and selling barn. My pastures I use for the majority of my breeding mares, and they are sorted into era's and generation
-
I have smaller barns (60-210 on this game 120-210 on hj1) each sorted by generation. I put a generation prefix on all my breeding stock so they sort quickly. And 1000stall barns for my show barns. Usually by the time I’ve filled the last empty show barn my show horses have earned enough for a new one. I have 2 on here and 4 on hj1.
-
The 1 or 2 barns I have some sort of plan for the horses in, and then the giant piles and piles of random assorted detritus that accumulates in a Indiana Jones style vault of auto show barns.

ROFL, Ammit! ( finally had to force my phone to accept Ammit instead of autocorrecting to Amway!)
I can never seem to save enough IVs to get a 1000 stall barn! :( -
Organisation? What's that?
There's show barns which are clearly marked with x before the name, all stallions are in the primary barn but I run out of funds to buy more barns to organise it more. The remaining barns are just a mess of mares, show ponies, creates that I need to sort and um, chaos.
Plus there's still 200+ horses that still aren't named either...#4519 -
I sort of have my show barns and my barns that have breeders. Kind of. But everything is all mixed around. I have tried organizing my barns before but it never stays. :-??ID: 16853

In my primary barn I have breedable foundation horses - mostly RS. Then comes one 60-stall barn for lined fillies, one 15-stall barn for lined studs and six 15-stall barns for show horses.
I have too little space, especially for next generations :(understand the significance of signatures -
I have barns just for show horses. Then I have:
Foundation stallions
Foundation mares - Exeptional breeding ability
Foundation mares - all others
G2 A/Blue papered
G2 B/Red papered
G2 DP carriers
G3 - all (I don't have many yet)
Surplus stallions
Show pony breeding mares (low papering or unevenly bred or whatever)
Sale pen#28036 -
I only have 4 barns atm but I hope to get more soon. I have one for show horses, my primary which holds my WBs and then a SP barn and RH/RP barn, but whenever I buy/create they all get smashed into the primary barn :))
-
I organize by paper/gen.. yellow mares, 2nd gen reds, 2nd gen blues.. yadda yadda.. i have a special barn for closed genes.. and I just made a barn for my select studs..any boys I spent money on gmt'ing...any top notch offspring..ie best of crop foals..superior to sire and other foals from that years crop..yadda yadda... and the show barns...Champion Appaloosas

I'm trying to save up for more barns but at the moment it looks like this :)

Helps me throw the right studs in with the mares. The girls that are in there usually don't get pulled back out unless I want to flush one, which I don't often do.

138 barns...I gave up a long time ago =))Thanked by 1ChilliFireFarm

I have 210 stall barns labelled Show 1--8, plus one for horses that have profits below -800 that have enough points to keep, a few smaller barns from early on to keep foundations in, and two 1000 stall barns labelled Lined k1 and k2. One I use for intact horses under breeding age, and the other I use for altered horses that I shove into the 210 stall barns when horses roll out of them. Before I got the 1000 stall barns (so much IV saving! I think that was from before I discovered the marvels of GMTing), I had another 210 stalls for random horses, like mares I decided to make public breeders or candy ponies. Right now it's pretty empty, because I moved everybody over so I could mass enter randos into the auction. My pastures have all my lined mares jumbled in and some foundation groups of mares.

This is what the time between 28th and 4th is for - organizing and in my case buying far too many stallions. I need to move away from the computer...now before I have no money to breed next year! :DThanked by 1Stefliz
