Having way to much fun with the tattoo editor
-
I purposely keep a tattoo spot blank. I named it play spot simply because that is what it is. When I get board I go there and doodle. I normally end up seeing someones screen name and something will just click so I make a tattoo up. It's fun and it's good practice on how to use the tool and what you can actually create. I thought I would show off a few of my doodles. Enjoy!Thanked by 1PaintsStables

Wow, that rose! The first one! These are really cool!
-
You're so talented!
I'm partial to the first one ;)
At first glance I thought the second one was a hot air balloon.
Which would be a pretty cool tattoo!
The rose looks super real I love it! -
A hot air balloon sounds really cool. I'll have to play with that idea. My trick to shaded ones like the rose. I go through with a base color and make the tattoo. Then I pick my two other shades, one dark, one light. Then instead of looking at the big white box where your actually drawing I look at the bottom where it gives you a preview of your tattoo. I use that to decide where I should put the other colors. If you where to actually look at that rose in the editor it probably looks like a freaking mess of a nightmare of color. And think someone went crazy just throwing colors all over the place.........and you would be right lol
-
When i get my new tattoo slot im making one called ' Vlilan Mini'sLife is Special live it to your fullest
-
That will be cool.
-
The third one is my favorite. Nice work.
-
I saw someone with the name fallen angle and thought some wings with devil horns would be cute. It doesn't look good on dark horses though or on Leopard Appaloosa. I kind of wish I could make the horns bigger because I'm not sure if anyone can tell what they are. But if I do then they look to big and out of place with the wings lol. Oh, the proportion struggle is so real ROFL
-
It's really hard to make anything at all that works on leopard, or sabino 3, or white 4... unless it's garishly bright.
-
Haha! Thats funny! but it makes sense. I'll remember that tip about looking at the small box for shading and things when I dabble in trying to make my own again lol if you do make a hot air balloon I'd love to see it!
-
I've been collecting Gray's to start a line and decided they needed a tattoo. I've been thinking on this for at least a week or more. I got my first gray hair at 16 so My dad use to tell me "Going gray is a sign of one of two things; either old age or wisdom". What is the most used sign for wisdom???????????
Whiskey Oak's new Wisdom line tattoo -
If anyone wants to try and make me a fancy tattoo I'd be willing to trade 2 guaranteed intact straws to my sb3 boy, Train Ride. I like dragons, lol but thats probably difficult. I like flowers too. Or just surprise me :))
Edit: a martini glass would be neat, too haha -
You are so amazing lol that owl is awesome! And perfect reasoning behind it!
-
So...incredibly creative people. I have a question. I own a beautiful tattoo for my satin line. It's a Chinese character and it's done in solid silver. My question is this--can I either sell the tattoo to the original creator and ask them to shade it in black, or can I try myself--and then put it on the rest of my horses and the tattoo will automatically change on everyone. I have a lot of Grullo or champagne/cream with satin and it doesn't show up on them at all...
This girl has it on her shoulder... -
You can try to change it yourself or sell it back either will work just please be careful with it. I'm not sure if I can recreate it lol. The tattoo wont change on the horses that already have it unless you remove it and then put it back. That really stinks though you can't see it at all on her. We have to change that.
-
I've been putting it on the background where I think it won't show up. Just missed on her... i will sell it back to you as I am seriously artistically challenged.
-
Sell it back at whatever you think is fair to pay for your time. Or I will give you straws. Just let me know!
-
Ok no problem. We have to make it so it works on the colors you got otherwise its useless. It wont take to long to shade in some black.
-
Nope no charge. You paid for a tattoo I made and the color doesn't work. It gets fixed on the house.
-
Thanks so much! I love the tattoo! I just didn't realize how many of my kids have lighter colors...
-
You didn't make it for me. I bought it after you'd designed it for someone else. Charge me! It's only fair.
-
ROFL no charge. Right now the editor is giving me fits. The tattoo looks right but then when I open it it has cut off the right side. I might have to try and redue the whole thing because of the stupid editor. You want it all black or a two tone silver and black?
-
Two tone preferably, as I also have bays and blacks with silver....
-
No hurry. I'm working today and leaving shortly with an injured puppy dog, so I have bigger things to deal with! Take your time!
-
Ok redone. Wasn't to bad try it out and see what you think. Let me know.
-
That looks cool on the black paint
-
It really does! Has the wow factor for sure. But it looks great on my champagne girl too.Thanked by 1fj1482
-
I love doing tattoo's. It's fun to see someone appreciate your work and then see it on horses. Banners are fun too but they take more time and its less instant gratification with those lol
-
Hey, the tattoo will update if you just refresh the image! (And it looks great, btw!)Thanked by 1Cheers
-
Hey kassierae, know of at least one person on here with a dragon tattoo so I tried to steer away from anything that would resemble theirs. This is what I came up with
-
Oh well that's nice to know. I didn't know that Rose rofl. Learning all the time.
-
Rose you goddess you just saved me a ton of Hbs!
-
Glad to help. XD It would still be cheaper even if you had to completely refresh. :P
-
Oohh I love it!
-
I like kassie's dragon too. Looks just a little like Mushu from Mulan!
-
lo I didn't notice that but your right Cheers. I was looking at a tribal dragon tattoo and seriously undetailed it to draw it into the editor lol
-
Someone got me into Celtic knot tattoo's now
-
That's impressive! You got me tinkering with the editor yesterday -- I got a Wacom tablet for Christmas and it makes tattoo editing a thousand times easier.
I did a blue ribbon for my horses who have won awards (alas, I wanted to see if I could get it to look like it was on a bridle/halter, but it didn't work):
(it's the lower right corner one)
And I did daffodils for Cheers:Thanked by 1fj1482 -
My Ausmerican Bred daffodils on 2 of my gen 2 stallions. Looks AMAZING! Daffodils are my favorite flower. Love all my tattoos, guys! -
Oh wow! those are awesome
-
How does the tablet make it easier?
-
You guys have serious talent lol I hope to be able to get good at doing tattoos!
If not you'll have some jobs this season if you're up to it lol.
I've got at least three I want lol but probably more like 4 or 5 ...oy -
Well, mostly because I suck at drawing with a mouse. Wacom uses a pen, and it is 1:1 with the screen (so, you can't pick it up and move it like a mouse... takes some getting used to, but basically if you put your pen in the top left corner of the tablet, you're in the top left corner of the screen). It's just more precise. You're so good at digital art, FJ, you really should try one. I have a looooong way to go learning what all I can do in Photoshop (I have used it extensively editing photographs but am just learning digital painting and digital coloring) but I'm having fun playing.
The model I have is an Intuos 2. My son has a Bamboo, he says don't bother, it's not good (Intuos is a step up from that). Watch the video some time that shows how the Cintiq model works, that'll give you some digital envy. :) -
Don't ask me why.............I was thinking Christmas so I made a stocking lol
