So today I lost the first horse I ever got he was 22 I got him as a gift for my 3 b day and he was the best friend a girl could ever ask for. Going to so strange to not see him every day. He got me through a lot. Rip my prescious friend.

I’m so sorry! I remember losing my first horse. I was devastatedBreeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses.

22 is a really good age though! You have to be proud that you did a good job taking care of him!Breeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses.

@HunterUnderSaddleGirl thanks and I am.

Huge hugs to you, it’s never easy losing any, but your first definitely hurts the worst. Any emotions you feel, from sad to angry to anything else, are valid. Take your time and heal, sometimes being around another horse can help. I know throwing myself into working with my trainer helped me when my girl passed from colic.

@FallenShadows714 thanks and I help with the beginners riding lessons at my barn so I will definitely be around others.
-
So sorry for your loss.
