  • Just by looking I thought he was bay. Then he tests brown and is het Satin.

  • You are correct in that he's bay, the brown allele is just a different gentype of the bay gene. :)

  • He's homozygous At, which is always lighter than Ata. He's brown, not bay because he also has S+. I don't believe it's the S+ which causes the lightening.

  • If you compare other hom At, he is darker, but the S+ definitely gives more of a lighter "glow" to the stomach and neck compared to plain sooty. :)
