They call this a buckskin... but... what?

They call this fella a buckskin... I've seen many hom sooty buckskin horses/ponies, but none are/were the color of this fella... what's with this color?

it is wild bay buckskin colour, one of my favorites. And he is a cutie !

Oh! Nice! I didn't fully realize that bay colorings had an affect on the buckskins! He is cute. Sadly, he's gonna be for sale, due to being a colt and not passing BA.Love,

Buckskin is any kind of bay or brown with a cream gene, so the bay gene will most definately have an affect :D Such a cute boy!
