Okay so this is kind of a “humongous achievement that I’d never think I’d get to” kind of thing but I need to share my excitement somewhere!
So we need a little back story. Ever since like 3rd or 4th grade I have been ungodly horrible at history; I have always failed tests or did horrible on them and could barely keep my average grade above passing throughout the whole year. In 8th grade I always had an average of about 67 more likely lower to 66 or 65 and I failed almost every test because I absolutely hated the subject and the teacher wasn’t really the best and I never understood. Last year I had a single 76 which happened to balance out my grade for when I failed the final with a 55. I wrote a HORRIBLE essay (maybe three sentences for a 12 sentence subject and only one main paragraph where 3 would have been sufficient). I even had a “special help” teacher move me into his study halls so I could be helped this year because I did so horrible on the final.
Now for this year! Before school started I had always been known to hate global and to always “stand at the edge of the cliff” per say, but maybe the first couple weeks of school we started to take quizzes and I thought I would fail every one. I only failed maybe 4 throughout the whole year and that was because my stupid self didn’t read what I was supposed to read. But now to the last three weeks of school. I knew the regents (huge state tests that everyone in the state is required to take from that class at the end of the year) was coming up but I was going to wait till the last couple weeks to really start buckling down and studying hard and that’s exactly what I did. Probably studied for more than 30 or 40 hours the four or five days before the regents and I went to the review that morning and went to take the test and spent the three hours in that room and I finished that last work of my last essay the very second he said that the time was up. The day after I got a rough estimate of how well I did on the multiple choice; I only got roughly 4 wrong out of 30 but didn’t know my overall score till earlier. I checked my emails and I see a message from my teacher and it said that I got a 90! I was (and still am) beyond speechless, so impressed with my score that I started crying.!

Ok, those regents are not easy (at least the NY ones aren’t, not sure if they are required anywhere else), so congrats on getting a 90! And you should be very proud of yourself, for having such a rough “history with history” to finally make that kind of score. Way to go, all that studying and hard work paid off :)

@FallenShadows714 he says the global is the hardest required regents in NY... And thank you! I really did try as hard as I possibly could.EasternShowBarn
