Can some help me with my show ponys?
-
I have to cut some foals or old guys. I dont have eye as you older players do.
Can someone help me go though them to see what I should be cutting?
My show guys are in the shows barns and my foals are in primary barn.

I'm still pretty new here, but I thought I'd throw out some suggestions. :)
I would definitely suggest culling breeding foals before show horses. The show horses are your money makers after all. For any unaltered foals, make sure that you run all testing and also ensure that they are what you want for your breeding program. E.g. I breed silver black/grullo/blue roans and I cull if a horse doesn't have two copies of E and at least one copy of silver (at least for my stallions.) Culling by paper level is also common (e.g. 2nd gen horses must paper at least B/Red.)
If you must cull show horses, I would cull young horses without many points. To do this, you could go into search and sort by "best showing" and cull the worst showing horses, or even cull based on looks (e.g. a pretty show horse would get kept over one that missed a gene you like).Breeding silver black, grullo, and blue roan drafts with appaloosa, tobiano, kit m, and other patterns. I also breed watercolor, nexus, and chinchilla. -
I’m more of a keep everything and skip a breeding season if I need more room sort of player. The show horses are the money makers. They’re only job is to sit and print money. I celebrate every altered horse.
But if your going to cull first make sure you are training and showing everyone twice a week.
Using the search. I go through my altered foundations and cull any without points. You can pick up pointed foundations easily enough now.
Next I run through my levelled off horses (normally go through year by year starting with the oldest, when you start to have horses still in training sort by PT and look through the lowest ones in that age bracket) and see where they’ve levelled off. If their score doesn’t vary week to week and they are constantly last place and don’t have any points then I’ll cull them.
With the new show bonus payout all the horses in your barn are contributing to your daily show bonus so culling then will only hurt your bonus.
