How to get closed license?
  • I am wandering how you purchase the license for the Ice genes as well as a few others? I am also wandering how you can create/own your own private Ice gene?
  • Ammit releases the genes randomly. Usually around special dates and you pay real money for them.
Ammit creates the genes. We cannot create them. We can mix and match though!

  • Thank you! I will have to keep my eyes open for when she releases the ones I am wanting to get then.
  • Currently she’s selling Mushroom. There may be others coming this month since there was supposed to be different sales all month but Ammit has been very sick so hasn’t gotten the next stage out yet.
  • I saw the mushroom one she has but payday isn't until Friday and it closes before then. I am really really wanting all the ICE and the plaid ones. Those are my favorites I have seen so far and then eventually I want to get them all.
  • Not sure what she will bring out next but Ice is usually a winter sale
  • Oh I didn't know that. Thank you I am kinda new but also kinda not new. I just started in January and then wasn't able to pay for a few month's and have finally made it back and am trying to learn everything and basically starting from scratch except I still have my horses that I had prior for now. I am actually debating whether to sell out and start fresh or just keep them and add a few others and build from there. Lots to decide but some of the ones I currently have right now have ICE in there PED or are ICE.
  • Play not pay sorry phones and there tiny keyboards and there dang auto correct lol.
  • A few of the ice genes are open so you can advertise for those ices and breed them until you are able to buy into the closed ones (or whatever new ice is released)
  • I breed grullo ice 1 and just had my first crop of 2nd Gen ice 8 foals born last month.
  • I believe that is what I have is some ICE 8 decendants and on one of my accounts I have an ice1 or ice8 baby. I do plan on buying more ice1 and ice8 as soon as I do my upgrade and can get more money to be able to purchase cause the one ice baby I just got and it isn't breedable yet but I do have one stallion that has an ice parent and some ice grandparents and I didn't even realize it until I was just going through the pedigree today trying to learn everything I can.
  • Whenever you get your upgrade you can message me and I may have a list of ice mares and studs you can get straws or a foal from. I know I have a few extra 2nd Gen colts I haven’t snipped yet or I may have some older higher generations around I could sell you.

ID# 137 if you want to nose around lol most of my ice have IC in their names
  • Awesome! Thank you. I am hoping to get my upgrade this week and I also have a couple horses going to auction as well to make room and get my program straightened out and started off the right way.
  • Wow! You have an amazing and huge setup! Your horse's are all gorgeous and have beautiful color that goes well with the ice.
  • Lol thank you. I love the way the grey of the grullos makes all the white patterns pop off. This is actually my “small” account.

On HJ1 I currently have around 600 mares sitting in pastures and I’m trying to sell off some of the 5000 show horses I’ve collected over the last 11 years. Over there I focus on KP and nexus.

I joined HJ2 just after beta testing closed so I’ve been here a while too but kept forgetting that breeding is every year so probably have half the horses I could’ve had lol
  • What is HJ1? Is there a difference with that one and this one? Are you allowed to have an account on that one if you already have the 3 free account limit on this one? Sorry for so many questions I am still learning everything I can about this game and that is new and the first I have heard of HJ1.
  • Www.Huntandjump.com is the original game started in 2006. Breeding season was every other month and lasted the whole 2 months. Since the seasons were long and has been around for so long some players have mammoth barns. Pretty sure HJ1has less active players but uses more storage space than HJ2 that has more players with smaller barns.

HJ2 was started as an excelerated version of HJ1. Breeding season was shorter so horses aged quicker and trained faster and you got a larger portion of the daily show bonus. I think there are some other slight differences but overall they’re the same game just hj2 is marketed more as being able to breed more often keeps new players attention better and they don’t get bored after they breed all their horses and have to wait 2 months before breeding them again.

Usually if changes are made or introduced to one game the other will get it to.

Recently Ammit has made changes to HJ1 so it now has 1 month breeding seasons so matches up with HJ2. Both games are run separate and on different servers so you can have accounts on both.

The forum is slower on the other game but we are just as friendly and there is quite a bit of cross over of players between both games
  • That is cool. Thank you for explaining it to me. You are very helpful and very kind.
  • Your welcome. I’ve played hj1 since 2006 New Year’s Eve eve so I’ve seen the game evolve so much and have enjoyed the journey.

There have been times that life has gotten busy and I haven’t had as much time to play but until life settles down I check in often enough to keep my accounts active. When I’m able I come back and do a reboot or whatever I need to get back in the swing of things.

I definitely believe that the #1 reason I’ve stuck around so long is this community. It’s awesome. For the most part we are friendly and generous and hard to find in other horse sim games (I’ve tried a ton lol) since we aren’t competing against each other we are able to help each other reach our goals without thinking I can’t share with them because I have to be the best.
  • If your still playing at the end of the year I highly suggest setting aside some hbs and signing up for the Secret Santa in December. There’s 2 categories over or under 100k (although a third option 1million+ has been mentioned). Everyone triples up on their generosity and it’s somewhat insane how many presents you can get your SS for under 100k.

I don’t even care what I recieve I love going on the shopping spree to spoil my SS recipients (I usually sign up for both categories lol) unfortunately I have yet to be paired with anyone who breeds Grullo so I haven’t really been able to throw the barn doors open so to speak and really shop from my own stock. But I often give high pointed show horses to them from my own breedings.
  • I have saw some things about SS but never knew what it was since I just joined in January. That actually sounds amazing. This game is definitely a lot better then the other games that is for sure. I actually just joined HJ1 also and it is basically similar to this so far. I just have to GE a bug fixed with my welcome barn on there that I didn't receive after completing the quest. I will definitely have to try to figure out hjb for the SS cause it sounds like fun. As for Grullo I can't understand why more people don't breed them. I think it reminds me of one of my dogs colors lol. I plan on doing the Grullo on one of my accounts and am wanting to do liver with the brindle markings on another and the third account is still undecided yet as to what way I am going with it cause I do like the silver black but it seems I tend to breed the ones that look Grullo but are colored as silver black.
  • Brindle isn’t hereditary so you may not have very good luck getting lined Brindles on your liver Brindles.

I actually started out breeding blacks and then added a line of chocolate palominos. At the time we didn’t have the horse pictures we just had what was called a paint chip (a square of colour) on the horses page so I started to try to breed blue horses and make the paint chip colour turn as blue as I could lol. I found that Grullo was a good blue colour. Once we got horse head pics to go along with the paint chips I started to fall more for the grullos and the paint chips went away and we got the first rendition of full body pics and I started to let my black and palomino lines dwindle. I liked them but the more dynamic our pictures got the more I fell in love with the dark steel grey colouring of the grullos.
