Mare Papering?
-
Sorry if the answer is somewhere but how does the paper grading for mares go? I've only seen Red and Blue so far. Also, what does it mean for the mare? Is she more likely to curve towards better foals?#4519
-
The grade from lowest to highest is Failed-Yellow-Red-Blue-*Gold.
Stallions paper based on their own quality, but mares paper based on the quality of their foals, so the quality of the stallion they were bred to matters... something to take into consideration. I generally expect Red by 2nd gen, Blue by 4th gen, and *Gold by 6th gen. -
Mares also have to have 3 foals before they can get papered. I think mares paper level can change, depending on what stallion they are bred to after the three foals.

I'm guessing that by that logic Red is equal to a B stallion? And thank you both :)!#4519

You're correct. Although in this game all foundation stallions will paper C and quite a few foundation mares will paper Red, even when bred to C papered foundation stallions. There is obviously a fairly wide range of breeding ability covered by the C stallion papering.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
