Hi guys, I am looking to find a (draft preferred) horse, either stallion or mare that looks like this horse but with black spots and a brown or cream mane and tail. I dont even know where to begin to serch for one, I saw it once in the breeding or sale discussions, and lost it. Thanks in advance.

To begin with you'd want to look at het appy horses with hom PATN1. That's ensure the leopard pattern. Unfortunately we can't search for certain ECA3P genes, so you'd just need to do an overall search for appy. Next, you'd want either two combinations:

Liver with flaxen. This'll cause a dark base and a light mane/tail. Flaxen can cause silver/creamy manes as well as red, you just need to reroll until you get the colour mane you like.

Black with silver. This'll ensure a dark base with a creamy/white mane and tail.

Yeah I’m thinking black flaxen chestnut, meaning Hom for DP and Hom for Sooty... plenty of black livers out there but getting the flaxen, the leopard and the black liver may be interesting. hmmm

With the genes obsidion mentioned also doesnt gaurentee leoperd but close enough in most cases.
This one is het lp (appy), hom patn 1 and With flaxen. You can see she isn't a complete Leoperd.

Here is a search of flaxen liver Draft Appaloosas. Some have 3 darkening genes and are normal livers, some are black livers with all 4 darkening genes. You might be able to find some that are up for breeding or that someone is willing to sell from the list.

How do you sort the riding horses from the warmbloods and drafts in the search page?

You do it by bone weight. For RH go to the bone weight section and have "1.5" in the less than section. For drafts, bone weight is greater than 2.5. Between the two for warmbloods

Stumbled upon this horse, and he sounds a lot like what you are looking for. He is altered, but is another idea of how you could get a horse that looks like that. Another Sooty, or DP and he'd be even darker. So maybe a dark silver bay appaloosa.

I breed for liver appaloosas.
My main stud is liver chestnut appy with flaxen so he throws me alot of foals like that filly. (I have 4 pages worth out of cheers search). Most of my mares are already bred this season so I can't offer you anything this season
