Hey, I've seen this game advertised in my Facebook feed for several weeks now and finally decided to give it a try. I love horses (especially chestnut -liver-, spotted and black ones) but have never owned one in real life. So I play games with pixel ponies to love, cherish, and take care of. I am hoping to learn more about this game, horse genetics, and make new friends.

Welcome, I only started about a week ago myself. It can be a bit daunting at first trying to get the hang of everything but once you do it's quite addictive! Good luck with it all :)

Welcome to Hunt and Jump, both of you.
It's a great game, thoroughly grounded in real life, so, yes, it's also amazingly complex. Don't worry if it takes you a while to master it. We're a friendly group, so never hesitate to ask questions about something that confuses you or that you need to know. At least one of your fellow players will come along to answer it, and probably more than one.
The FAQ linked in the left margin is a good basic overview.
There is no one correct way to play HaJ. Everyone sets personal goals and works to achieve them.
