Just testing this horse (because why not) and I couldn’t get frame to show up at all ? Switched it to him, played with wf. Re-rolled about 20 times and never got frame to show. This just my bad luck, or is there some gene I’m missing?

Frame doesn’t always show in huge places. His is showing, the couple white spots on his nose. If you are looking for that loud overo look, you would need to add splash to him. Like this girl

My understanding is that frame tends to interact with other white patterning. So, yes - the draft mare has splash in addition to frame. So, the frame is impacting the way the splash looks. If your horse, frame is just interacting with the W20.

Incidently, this is what makes frame a dangerous gene in real life.You can't tell a horse has it just by looking but the risk of a lethal white foal is very real.

Like the others said, you'd need to add a white pattern for it to show. Something like splash or w2

Here's my splash frame stallion. You can't tell because he has no white factor
