Can you trade a horse to someone, for free? I see "trades" posted on here but I'm not sure how it works.

There is no technical way to 'trade' what they mean is like trading a horse for a horse or a horse for a straw of semen or a embryo.

So if someone were to pay me to use the create feature (when there are no more shares) I'd have no way of transferring it to their account without putting the horse up for public sale?

Sure, but people on this game are very respectful of any 'reserved for--'s in the notes. I haven't had any trouble yet so far, and I even saw somebody return a horse they'd mistakenly bought before they realized it was reserved.

Scarlet if you get upgraded the buddy list is good for that, but until then, as Rose says, people tend to be respectful of notes.
