I need to breed...but how?

Here is a link to breeding info: http://hj2.huntandjump.com/breeding_info.php
I was jllewis on the old forum.

Senketsu, first you need to pick the horse to breed to. So if you have mares to breed, pick your stallion. If you haven't already done this, go to Horse Search in the menu on the left and click For Breeding. Search for Stallions that are Foundation or Lined as meets your needs and you can refine your search further for colors or papered stallions, etc. Once you pick a horse to breed to, click the Breed to this Horse button at the bottom of its page. Once you do that, go back to the top of the page and there will be a drop down menu to pick which of your horses to breed to the horse you've picked. All your breedable horses should be on the list--mares age 4-20 with no foals this year if you've picked a stallion or stallions 3-20 with less than 50 live covers if you've picked a mare. Name the potential new foal, click Create and you're away!
If you are upgraded there are more options, but those are the basics. Remember mares can only be bred once per season (calendar month) and stallions can only be bred 50 times per season.
If you are looking for new mares, I highly recommend looking at the Foundation Rescue for excellent foundation mares. On Horse Search, click For Sale and put 13 in the Owner ID box. -
You can only breed to someone else's horse if it's up for breeding. You can search for horses that are up for breeding in the horse search under the Community drop-down menu, and you can search for the lowest breeding fee. Be warned: breeding publicly costs 1000 more than the listed price, for vet fees.
You can also search for black mares or grey mares or black grey mares or anything else, really. If you need any more help with the search engine or anything, just ask here. We have very involved, helpful players. :D -
My herd helper today is heterozygous black, I'd be more than happy to sell you some mares/stallions.

Oh yeah, mine's actually heterozygous grey! But that means they'll be mostly bay or chestnut before they're black. Go look through the Herd Helper section of the forum and see what catches your eye.
