Also, there is this wonderful stable called Available to Adopt, you are allowed to adopt 2 show ponies from this stable to help you start earning money. Instructions on how to get your horses is in this post

There is a Beginners Barn buddy chat, for new players to ask questions and get advice from some of the veteran players. Please feel free to join, you can find it under the Community tab on the left side of the screen, and click Buddy Chat. It should be the first chat listed, just click on it and join!
