I...don't think I understand the question?
If you're asking why he's the way he is, it's because he is a double dilute. That lightens him enough so that he doesn't come up as a chocolate palomino, despite him being 100% het dp, and 50% hom dp.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

You understood. I just wondered how I got a Cremello out of these two.
-
They both carry cream. Homozygous cream on a chestnut horse makes it cremello! So he may very well be hom dp under all that cream. You won't know unless you gmt off one of the creams, or breed him to liver/dark chestnut mares and judge by all of his foals coat colour.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

Thanks Obsidian. You are always so much help.

That foal is dark enough to be homozygous DP. Here is my homozygous DP cremello foundation stallion:

and a het DP cremello for comparison:

If you are wanting to breed for chocolate palomino a hom DP cremello like that one would be perfect, he would sire 100% chocolate palominos when bred to homozygous sooty chestnut mares. Breeding palominos together you will always have a 25% chance of cremello, 50% chance of palomino, and 25% chance of chestnut.I was jllewis on the old forum.
