Breeding White
-
I have made it my goal to breed my dream horses here. They are a solid white with black mane and tail, and a black with white or silver mane and tail. Any advice on where to start?
-
With a black with white/silver mane and tail, that cna be quite easy. Just do silver blacks, like this girl~!
I Waited For You
As for a white horse with black mane/tail, that is more difficult. You'd most likely end up dealing with some risky genes, and a LOT of white. W2 and W1 are the two genes that come to mind. The closet I have come to that myself would have to be this mare. Please note that the splash gene gives the tail some white, so you may want to avoid it:

To get black horses with silvery manes and tails, I would recommend trying for EE aa CC dd gg ff SstySsty ZZ (or Zz). The base coat will be black, there is no dominant Agouti to push the black into the points, SstySsty overcomes the diluting effect of silver (Z).
Here are a couple of examples from the game.

Actually, I'd have to say that THIS mare is the closet that I have come to an almost white horse with a black mane/tail. She has w20 and w1, which is a low risk cross. So long as you keep below a WF of medium, with no splash and frame, you may very well achieve live foals with this colour.

Black liver chestnut with flaxen can sometimes give an almost white mane.

You can also have hom dp sooty brown or bay with silver.

Getting the reverse is pretty difficult. You'd probably need a bay or black base with some sort of white, like w, w2 maybe even appaloosa.

Thanks for making me look through my white spotted horses - they are pretty :) -
In my other account I have a foundation mare that's very close. But it won't let me breed across even paying to breed.

Extensive W1 is your best bet at white body and black mane/tail. You could try something like a no sooty buckskin dun to keep that black mane and tail but try to get that little bit of body color as light as possible.

It’s illegal to sell or breed across multiple accounts that you own unless they are both upgraded to the premium upgrade. It prevents cheating.
-
Yea I know you can't cross accounts. I don't want to do it by cheating at all just old fashioned selective breeding.

Black with white seems to be a popular almost fantasy color. White with black is a bit more realistic. This burly girl isn't solid white but at first glance she's pretty close:
