Welcome to the world of Hunt and Jump.
I would recommend visiting the Foundation Rescue to get some good starting horses. If you click on "Search Horses" in the left menu bar under "Community" and enter 13 in the Owner space you will find a collection of horses that are the best foundation horses can be. You might want to select Mare as the gender, older than 3 and younger than 12 as the age, and uncheck "Bred this year" and "Lined" in the Status section. Then click Search Horses. That will give you a manageable selection of about 172 mares, most of them bays and chestnuts. Pick out three or four to start with.
Then find the link to Breeding Info near the bottom of the Menu Bar and study the information there. It will tell you how to search for suitable stallions that are up for public breeding, many of them at a very reasonable price.
Under Showing, you will find "Train My Horses." Your mares will need to be trained, which you should do once each week. Then you can enter them in two shows per week by clicking on the orange arrow to the left of their names and selecting a class.
This should give you a few things to do. Don't hesitate to ask specific questions when you have them (and you will). We are a very friendly and helpful community and are always willing to give new players a helping hand.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
