Any tips for beginners?
  • im new and any tips are welcome...
  • The best place to start is to read through some of the recent posts in the Help Me Out section of the forum, and the Breeding Info page found in the Vital Links section at the bottom of the navigation bar on the left side of the screen. After you have done that, if you still have questions, feel free to ask them. Because this is a complex game, specific questions are a lot easier to answer than broad "tell me everything" questions, but someone will always be happy to help a new player figure things out.
I was jllewis on the old forum.

  • One tip that I can give is to visit the Foundation Rescue early in your playing days. That is Owner 13, which you can enter in the appropriate spot on the Search Horses page. All the horses there will be perfect foundations, the best at both breeding and showing that foundations can be. They will also be perfectly consistent, getting the same score each time they show in a week. It might take some looking to find fancy colors, since bay and chestnut are most common, but especially on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, after the public auction runs, there are likely to be wider selections. I'd look for the younger horses there, since the rescue doesn't train them in this game.
De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
