Thoughts on this colt?
-
Random I know, but I just noticed the Yule Log Ashes HH notes the "impossible combination of white 1 and 2" and I have this colt I bred that carries white 1 and 2. Am I lucky he survived? Anything worth knowing about him? Thanks for reading!
NLG Lycans Dance -
He was indeed lucky. His sire, who passed on the W2 carried White Factor:None. His dam, who passed on the W1 (which gives much more white) has White Factor:Minimal.
This colt was blessed with White Factor:Minimal and survived the cross.
He's gorgeous. I like the combination of the vertical white stripes from W2 combining with the total washout of W1 from the bottom up.
This is basically possible thanks to Ammit's reworking of the foundational math behind the White Spotting Kit mutations so that results like this do rarely happen.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Thank you for the input! I am rather fond of this boy and his sire, I will be breeding Lycan carefully next season! Let me know if anyone is interested in straws. His sire is also up for stud.
