How does showing work?
-
So I joined a little while ago, and I still don't really understand how the showing aspect of the game works. Training/showing. I haven't invested in any show horses/ponies either because I don't know how to get them started or pick ones that might become successful. So my daily showing bonus is really low and now that I've picked what I want to breed for finally (after trying out multiple patterns and colors and *whew*) the low bonus is starting to hurt.
Can anybody explain it to me? Or give me any tips on how to get started showing or get my bonus up aside from outright buying a bunch of horses with lots of points already? -
Horses should be trained once each week. At that time, they will add a certain amount to their show score. Horses that test Consistent will have scores no more than plus or minus 2 above or below their base score for the week. This gives a potential range of about 5 points for the score.
When horses level off (about the time their age reaches the number of their PT score for intact horses, one year later for neuters, in my experience), they will only add minute fractions of a point to their scores. If they level off above the very bottom of their class at that time, they will usually continue adding showing points (those given to horses based on how they place in a class that add to your showing bonus).
I show all my horses that aren't in pasture, neutered or intact.
Check out the Available to Adopt chat room for horses that have already started accumulating a fair number of show points.
I also have small number of adoptable horses that I maintain. You can use the Search Horses for my stable ID, 441, and the tattoo Available to Adopt, and choose 2 of them.
I will check out my show horses with higher point totals to find one to give you tomorrow as well.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

You just show them. That's it. Show the. as often as you can and your points will grow. There is no secret too it.

Hi, Wolf! Your account is a bit too old to get the free adoptable show horses from me, but I sent you some cash to help out, instead!
The easiest way to increase your showing bonus is to buy proven show horses. Horses that are a bit older (but not TOO old)and have the points already. You can also raise and show your own foals but that takes time. -
@AvailableToAdopt
Thank you for the money! I got my two horses from you when I joined, I still have one left (they were older boys) and they were really helpful. I'll take the money and look for some show horses like you explained, older with some points already.Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms -
Hit up Sandy creek for a couple of her 'adoptables', too. Good show ponies are hard to find these days!

Here's a gelding with over 1000 points up for you in my Horse Exchange. Please keep him in your stable until he ages out of the game. He's doing quite well showing in the top half of Level 7 National, so he should go on adding points to his total every week.
