I have seen a few times where a stallion tested as good as (maybe even superior? not sure) another stallion who papered lower. How is this possible?

There is a test you can do, if you are upgraded. It is called "Comparison Test", and it is in the Testing and papering section on the left hand navigation area. It cost 8000 hb's unless you have a level 5, and then it is 4000 hb's to test the horse. If you have it, and click on it, it will bring up 2 slots side by side, and you put one horses name in one, and another horses name in the other (most often people test colts to their sires, but people also do test horses against each other of the same level or more, to see how they rate against each other. Usually it will say "About as Good as" or "Worse than" or "Superior than". See the link I have to a horse I tested quite a few times. He is papered B, but he tested as good as a A papered stud. But you can see I did quite a few test against other studs with him.

Right, I understand all that, I think you misunderstood my question.
Stallion A is papered.. well, let's say A. Stallion B papered B. There have been a few instances where i've seen a B papered stallion test as good as an A papered stallion. Shouldn't an A stallion always be better than a B stallion? -
Nope. -About- as good as does not mean exactly as good as. So a low A paper will be about as good as a B, ut also about as good as an a bit a higher A. An A can also test superior to another A.

Yep Maribo is right. There are levels within the papering, so it can be very tricky to figure out exactly where the horses are as far as who is better than the other (same with the mares). The papering just gives us a base, but there are still things in the game coding of the horses creation that effect the outcome that are "unknown factors", things we will never know, or will take a long time to figure out, that will be variants on each individual horse. So as you can see on the horse I posted, he is a B papered, and a High B, since he is about as good as a Low papered A stud, but I still need to breed a better horse than the Low papered A I matched him too, to see how he matches to it. Haven't gotten any more A's yet though, lol.

That helps, thanks!
