Hi everyone! My name is amber and I'm new to this game and server! I would love to make some new horse friends, and would love to learn from everyone about this game! I'm highly interested in equine genetics and hope that HJ2 will be able to help me with this. Thank you! <3

Welcome to Hunt and Jump, Amber. You couldn't have found a better place to learn about horse color genetics. The game is kept up to date with the latest scientific findings and naming conventions.
You'll find a good basic introduction to the game at the link to the FAQ in the left menu. There's special information about breeding at Breeding Info, and the Genetics Guide explains about all the known horse color genes as well as the ones that are considered but not yet found. It also tells about the fantasy genes in the game, some of them ones that reflect real-life horse colors or patterns and some of them that are pure fantasy, just for fun.
Whatever kind of gene it is, they all work according to the scientific laws of genetics.
Please don't hesitate to ask any specific questions you may have. We're a friendly group and like to help new players find their feet in what is a very complex game world.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

A very warm welcome to HJ2! You have found a wonderful community of genetics and horse lovers.
As SandycreekFarm mentioned, this is a complex game and if you have any questions feel free to look at the FAQ or give a shout-out on the Help Me Out forum.
I can't wait to see you around. :)
