Are they worth using as studs? (Edit: also- herd helper questions)

  • EDIT:: Can someone explain Herd Helper to me? What exactly is the point of the rank and what is good to look for? I have three perfect foundations?
  • The second horse, while he may be inconsistant has produced 3 out of 4 intact horses. A large part of that may be the mares he was bred to, but it's nothing to spit at.

The first guy has only produced the one foal who was gelded, and with his VERY limited showing is not doing near as well as the 2nd guy.

The colt passed intact, and consistant, even though his daddy is inconsistant, so that's good, he may need some time to see how he does.

Those are just the things you might want to consider. I honestly have to say that I am so spoiled by using the upgraded testing that I don't know how much you want to take my word for it! :)

  • Awesome, thank you! I wasn't sure if showing/consistency counted heavily towards breeding.

I'm super tempted to upgrade, just giving it a few days. :p
  • I wouldn't say that inconsistancy counts HEAVILY toward breeding, but when it's all you have to go by, it can't hurt!

This is just chance and says absolutely nothing about how good he is. You can simply ignore that ratio as it is meaningless. Don't make any choices about studs based on it.
