Do foundation horses need to be free tested?
-
I hear everybody saying all horses should be free tested but I only have 4 right now and I'm kind of afraid to lose any for breeding.
-
I would say yes. To me, if a foundation horse cannot pass Gelding/Made Advice or Showing Aptitude, they probably will not make great breeding animals. The new breeding season does not start for a few more days, so that would give you time to make new ones if you needed to.
-
I did it. Thankfully they all passed.
-
I went and looked at your mares, and Mirror Mirror, Pandora, and Angelfire are rank specials. That means they *should* pass free testing.
-
Also, there is really no financial loss if you make the horse on the Horse Creator for 2500 hbs, free test it, and if it doesn't pass, put it up for auction. The HJ Auction Bidder will buy it for 2500 hbs, spayed, or intact.
-
That's good to know.
-
Rank Specials are always at least Perfect foundations and will always pass free testing. But you should go ahead and test them anyway!
-
Yes PLEASE free test your foundation horses. If they don't pass they weren't worth breeding from anyway!! Just sell them in the auction for the same amount you paid to create them!Thanked by 1Denalidom
