How do horses get on leaderboards?
-
I know a mare must have three living foals, and stallions ten, but does anyone know what they are judged by? Is it by foal quality, of the individual mare or stallions contribution to the foal. Are they judged by pt or breeding ability? Curious about what it means for a horse to be on leader board, and how not to hurt a horse's chances. Thanks in advance.

I don't know for sure but I think the Top Producer boards are based on offsprings breeding quality. This is part of why it is so hard to break Into the color boards with low gen horses--a well bred upper gen horse will always throw better foals than a well bred lower gen. Obviously the foal PT and Points boards are based on those things.

Thanks, cheers!

If you have lower generation horses though, the newest era is a great place to have a chance on! Era4 for example the top horses are still only second generation, and Era3 the top horses are gen3

For breeders you need to click the "check leader board" button. They won't show up automatically.
