What the hell, my horse's score is -1?

It can happen. If he has an average PT, he will start adding about 3 points to his score when he begins training. Most horses have a starting score between 0 and 9, but some do start with a handicap. *G* It doesn't mean that they won't end up being profitable in the show ring, however. If you show him again, his score may be higher next time, if he has some inconsistency. That might be what threw him into a minus score range.De gustibus non disputandum. He's always on the second place, he has started in about 8 shows so far and won 0.understand the significance of signatures

Since he hasn't started training yet, it's hard to tell how he will do. I would recommend keeping him at least until he's well into his second year, so you can judge how well he's training.
He does seem to have a range from -1 to 1, so I would guess that his base score is 0 and he has an inconsistency rate of +/-1. He will start training on Sunday, so you should see some movement in his scores soon.
Would you like me to keep an eye on him for a bit, and advise you about his showing career?
And remember, his showing score is not a reflection on his breeding ability, so he may be useful as a sire, even if he turns out to not be good in the show ring.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Thanks for advice. I never geld or sell young horses only because they aren't good at shows, so I'm going to keep him.understand the significance of signatures
