At 19, DS Silver Bells is at the end of his run as a stallion. He has produced some beautiful babies and he is one of my favorite horses. After much consideration, I have decided to auction off 20 straws from him as a last hurrah.
These straws will be guaranteed to provide the buyer with a foal that is intact and has Ice, provided that first foal is spayed or gelded. You are free to keep altered foals as show ponies. He also carries one copy of KP.
Each foal will receive one copy of Satin and one of Silver.

I'm confused, so we're bidding on a straw that we're required to spay or geld? Even though they're guaranteed to be intact?

SMS--if your first foal is intact but misses out on Ice, if you alter it she will give you another straw. She is guaranteeing a foal that is intact AND has Ice. If your first one is both, you're set. If it's not, she won't let you keep non-ice foals intact and still get more straws. (Think that's what you mean, Terri!)

smswiere, that is what I meant, if you get a foal and it doesn't have Ice, I will give you another straw so you can try again for a foal with Ice after you have spayed or gelded the first foal. DS Silver Bells only has one copy of Ice so you have a 50-50 chance per foal to get Ice when you use your straw. I know that most everyone likes Ice and this is one way that breeders sometimes offer a guarantee that not only will your foal be intact, but it will also have Ice.

Terri I got two lovely fillies! One got ice and the other didn't, so I spayed the second. I bred him to my KP foundation mare so I'm hoping for KP Ice babies in the next generation!!! If I could get another straw whenever you get the chance, that would be lovely!

If you would like to keep the foals without Ice I am fine with that, I will send out replacement straws as soon as I can

hi everyone, I think I have everyone caught up, if not please let me know. I will be online tomorrow while we are at the hospital and will catch anyone I missed then. I don't have internet at my daughter's where we are staying so on the days we are not at the hospital I try and get to the library during the afternoon. I am sorry for any delay getting back to you and will get the replacement straws sent out as soon as possible. I am loving the foals I am seeing and I appreciate both your interest and your patience
