Hello!
-
Hi all! I just joined, I'm not new to the online horse sim world but this is my first go at HAJ! I've been an active member of Flying For Home (a horse racing sim) for a while and I've played Horse Eden and many others as well.
Any advice is appreciated, but just wanted to stop by and say hi :) -
Welcome to the most addicting game ever.Life is Special live it to your fullest

It's a fabulous game with a great community! Glad to have you join us!
There is some good general advice on several welcome threads, and people are really good about answering questions if you have them. My best early advice is to take advantage of free testing (Gelding Advice, Mare Advice and Showing Aptitude Test) on all your horses and to remember to train your horses (under the showing tab) every week and show them twice every week (using the orange arrow next to their names on your barn page).
Have fun! -
Welcome to the game :)

Welcome to Hunt and Jump. If you'd like good advice for breeding, check out the Breeding Info tab near the bottom of the left menu bar.
This is an exciting time in the game. There are now three types of horses and ponies available in the Create A Horse feature--Light horses of an araby type, medium weight warmbloods and sport ponies, and heavy-boned draft horse types. The color genetics of the game are as close to real life as they can be, and work to improve the representation of the colors and patterns is ongoing. There's been some marvelous work updating appaloosas, most recently. The game is one of the best ways I know of to learn what is known about how colors are inherited in horses.
As Cheers said, we are always glad to give new players a helping hand, so don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have. The more specific they are, the easier it is to answer them, but there's no penalty for asking a number of questions in one post. :DDe gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
