Top Producing?
-
I am curious if anyone knows what is measured to determine "top producing" studs or mares for the leaderboards?
For example: does it go off of points earned by their foals throughout the year? Or average foal PT? Is it based on all of their foals or just they ones produced that year?
I have two studs that got ribbons this year for being top producing stallions. I also have one or two other stallions that are outside the top 10, so no ribbons but still on the board.
I'm particularly excited that this guy got a ribbon as he is a homebred lining back to my beloved Silver Black Foundation stud Wicked.

Not a clue to be honest. I've been trying to figure it out since I have a foundation stallion who ribboned 3rd, 7th and 8th? That being said he does throw some decent foals so who knows haha

My homozygous Sty+ stud New dehli is always on top leader boards for rabicano. Year 27 he was first on the club.Life is Special live it to your fullest -
I'm not exactly sure. It's not points because a stud can have all yearling foals (which won't have points, or very few) and still make the board. I do know that a stud has to have at least 10 foals to make it to the board, and mares 3 foals. My guess is that it is based on foal quality, which may be a combination of breeding and showing ability.
Congrats on your ribbons! :D
I'm excited that there are finally enough brindle stallions in the game so that awards get generated... now we need more Pearl, KP, GP, Sabino 3, and White 4! -
That's probably a good guess Abbey. Thanks for your input!SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES
