Favorite Horse that was bred by someone else?
-
Just a fun little thing, do you have a favorite horse or a horse that really helped to build your lines that was bred by someone else? I think it's neat to see what you let go, that someone else prized.
Mine was Miss Opaque Player, originally bred by Mystic Rose. Went through auction and a couple of owners before coming to me. I got my first Star and Gold from her line. Several of my top and prized horses go back to her, she really helped build me.

These two lads have helped guide me and given me ideas of what I want my own stud and lines to look like

I don't use either of them nearly as much as I want to though :(Thanked by 1supersarah -
This boy originally bred/owned by BlueValley. He is my go-to Snowflake stallion and the stallion I cross nearly all my Millionaire daughters with. He has had a huge impact on my breeding and I keep a lot off his offspring :D I have never once regretted buying him and for what he's done for my herd he's more then paid back what it cost to buy him ^^

This guy was originally owned and bred by NorthernStars. She offered him up for me when I lost my last white M stud, Shimmer Splat, who I absolutely adored. Paint The Snowflake has been so good for my herd and thrown so many blue/A papered babies with beautiful coloring. My first 5G gold mare descended from him. Also, I had forgotten he was het snowflake, and when I bred two of his offspring together last season, I got a surprise hom snowflake baby! So happy about that! This guy keeps getting better and I will cherish my last few seasons with him. :x

This boy is awesome. I didn't find him until he was almost old enough to pass out of the game, but Cheers sold me some straws on 2 separate occasions. He throws awesome foals and gave me the opportunity to get satin in my heard way back at gen 2. Before him, the only het satin gen 2 I had was my Oceans colt, and even though he's sadly passed, he'll continue to have a huge impact on my herd through his sons and daughters :). Thank you, Cheers!Thanked by 1supersarah -
A couple seasons ago, I had the opportunity to buy this lovely guy from Cheers. I had been looking for a way to incorporate W3 into my lines for some time and he allowed me to do that. :x

I have several - so many people have helped me, whether directly or indirectly, to grow my lines! - but one that stands out off the top of my head is this purty lady bred by Wildland Acres.
B Golden Singularity
I bought her because she was pretty, but she's gone above and beyond! Every foal she's thrown me has been gold/star without fail, the colts passing SBA more often than not despite being in my bootstrap lines! Both times she's ended up paired with my prize stud, she's thrown the Best of Pasture foal, SBA passing colts that will be nearly perfect replacements for their sire.
That brings me to another favorite of mine, said stud, bred by Kintara.
KT Bootstrap Bob
He has really given my bootstrap program the extra boost it needed! I'm finally producing enough golds that in a season or three I'll have culled all the blues, and my herd is looking shinier than ever. :xISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!
God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time. -
So far is definitely gonna be this guy. I'm looking at starting a Satin line. Hes going to be the founding stud. Ps, if anyone has Satin mares they'd be willing to part with please let me know.
