Sabino lethality (link added)

fRSC ADifferentCat stypl
I won the sooty plus FF!
I'm shoving a bunch of mares in pasture for him but I am not sure what he is safe to cross with and what isnt. White factor is important as well right?
The chart does include splash
I mainly breed for splash frame and dom white 1/2 but those are lethal with sabino right?
Link to his herman (still addig)

Sabino 1 has a low risk with W3, and a moderate risk with W2/W1. This boy has a WF of extensive. I'd only cross him with mares who have w2/1 when they have a WF of none, and no splash/frame/w20 is involved. Same for w3, but I'd let the WF drift up to minimal, but again no splash/frame in the mix.
Any other kit genes involved apart from w1-3 is 100% safe.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

Had a look at the pasture and the only one I'd be wary of is SilverGlitter rs. If you have an idea of base coat that you want I should be able to supply a fair amount of mares. If you're going for dp I haven't bred all of my dp/sooty ee mares yet so should have a fair amount if you're interestedProducer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

@ObsidianKitsune
I'm mostly going for sooty plus
I added a bunch of chocolate and sooty palomino to hopefully up my chances of passing the S+, the dp is just a bonus. I've been creating some bay based RH mares so I can get some S+ in there line too.
I'll take out my splash mares mares and recheck all of my dom white.----

Your splash mares aren't the problem, not exactly. What's the problem is if your horses carry w1/2/3. All splash does is increase the white on a horse (ups the WF). By itself it is not lethal. However when you have a potentially lethal cross (like SB1 and W2) adding splash, frame, and/or w20 can push the WF of the foal up past the threshold of safe.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Oh! Okay. A lot of my mares had medium WF with splash so I decided to pull them since his WF is extensive. I think I'll just keep what I have right now----

What you have to look at first is the cross. If you look at the kit lethality chart, it's about the crosses, really. Write down the potential combos the foal can have (eg. Sb1Sb1 x W2kit- = Sb1kit-, sb1w2). Then you go to the chart to have a look at how lethal that combo is (if the could only get 1 kit gene, then it's not lethal at all). Green means that the cross would never result in a dead foal. Then the darker/redder the colour, the more lethal the cross. If you have a look at the extended spreadsheet you can roughly guess at which WF the foal would end up dead at.
After that, you look at the parents WF. If their WF is low enough for a risky cross to potentially pass (WF is partially inherited) then you look at genes that increase the white, which are splash, frame, and w20. Despite causing white patterns, Appy does not increase the white on a horse or result in any lethal crosses.
Add 1-2 increases of WF if there are any white increasing genes. Then you've got to look at your guesses, and wonder if it's worth the risk.
Or you could just wing it lolProducer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

Thank you! Where can I find the extended spread sheet?
I have the chart downloaded but I didnt know there was another one?
I think I'm going to gather all this info and make my own color coded chart to keep in my pixel pony folder----

I believe that the link was directly below that of the chart. But here it is, for conveniences sake lol. If you notice, we have 6 levels of WF, and there are 6 columns for lethality :D

As an FYI, this was my Stallion for a long time. You’ll have the best luck with him breeding him to regular foundation mares or Y-papered mares.
Good Luck! He throws AMAZING beautiful babies ♥️ -
@4StarShowPonies
Thanks for the tip!
Most of his mares are yellow. Roughly 7 of them are red paper but I dont mind, flashy show ponies are always welcome----
