Justifying Not Snipping?

Raise your hand if you are guilty (especially in your bootstrapping herds) of not testing/snipping someone who really should be.
I think this bootstrap girl is going to be my guilty no this season. She somehow papered yellow with a PT of 11.60. Which is a lower paper then both folks but a higher PT then each of her folks. (If she'd been a stud she would have been put through SBA but since she is a mare she gets a wee bit of a free pass for now)

Oh my, now that is a beautiful mare!
I am especially guilty of this too. If I get a stunning mare that passed BA from my lined herd but doesn't suit my papering requirements, she's usually thrown into my bootstrap herd. Like this girl here. Second gen yellow, but passed BA so into the bootstrap herd she goes

I am guilty in my nexus herd bc when I started it you were not able to get foundations. So my herd started as a bootstrap herd. It is kinda sad how many blue mares I still have when I am gulling gold upon gold mare to make room... If one of my ice splash M nexus girls will finally give me an intact filly with at lest 1 fancy gene? With three genes to choose from it is crazy how many normal genes foals I get from them. @paradoxphoenix Ragtatter owns Wreck It Ralph he has terrible PT and causes exorbitant amounts of damage on the regular.

Well, in bootstrapping lines, testing does not matter, so thats nothing to feel guilty about! :x I never test bootstrapping fillies. Any other line though... I have so many mares, and get so many foals, that I never miss them, even if they are super pretty. Some hurt then and there, but I don't remember them a few days later. And I would never sacrifice the quality of my lines just for a sparkly pony :P But people play differently. Some breed for shiny, some breed for quality, and some just breeds for the joy of babies :)

I'm so scared to even BA this girl cause she has some many genes in her! Some that I really am happy to have! I have to have her! I've had only 2 out of more than 10 of my foals pass BA cause I'm breeding unevenly which I'm fine with cause I breed for pretties. Even though she's a even 2G I just can't risk it as I don't have the hbs to unalter her if she does get altered. :-SS
