I just bred this colt and for the life of me i cant tell if he is nexus or not due to his roan and his palomino color. Help

Nexus can't be put in a breed club, right? Trying looking to see if you can put him in one.

Possibly i mean his daddy produced a palomino pearl filly. But i assumed her momma had cream

Starry Knights, the grandsire on the sire's side, is Smokey Black, and therefore is hiding Cream, which he passed on to Star Flaxen, the sire,who handed it down to your colt. Star Flaxen is probably Ee, and also passed on a recessive e allele. The dam passed on one of her ee alleles and KitRn. So, lo and behold, you got a palomino roan. :D No great mystery there.

Starry Knights was from a Smokey Cream DHH, so a little detective work solved the puzzle of how a cream allele got into Golden Army.

I would say yes. If I tilt my laptop screen way back I can see lights spots in his coat like stars. Also, I believe that Nexus horses do not show up to register for breeders clubs. None of my nexus horses do. Not even for an Era breeders club.

I never knew about the not registering in any breeders clubs thing about nexus! At least its a way to tell if youve got a super light horse hiding its stars lol. But yes I think hes nexus if i tilt my laptop screen back (I did it before I read salvistars comment. great minds think alike ;) i can see little dots especially on his face
