It's because most are HOM or at least HET DP....It is one of the more popular RS's. Not to mention they look great GMT'd because most are so dark :)

They are always homozygous DP. I buy any that is up for 100K or less, but 250K is just insane.

@Maribo, I thought they were HOM DP too but after seeing my girl I'm not to sure. Although I don't know much about DP in Champagne...

Goobanni, they always are. Champagnes are notoriously hard to spot DP in. I try my hardest to keep it out of my lines :P

There's definitely something funny about Freakys being super popular and expensive. I would guess it's because they're hom DP - but Cherry Drops are also hom DP. It's probably a combination of the hom DP and also the fact that they're special occasion creates only. The next one we're guaranteed to get won't be til September.
