Need Help With This Foal!
-
So... I found this random 2g, A papered lab foal I didn't even know I had... he passed BA (I cannot SBA)... He's had all other testing done. What should I do? Keep him for public breeding? Sell him? (It cost me right at 18k to create him, soo)...
Here's the fella:

What do you want to do?
What do you breed for? Does he fit your breeding goals or not? If he doesn’t fit your breeding goals than sell him
This game is set up so that we can all set individual goals to work towards and what another player does has no effect on our game. You won’t get rich off breeding fees unless he’s something really special so if your looking to recoup some of the breeding fees from him than sell him or geld him and stick him in a show barn -
@Bandit1119
I'm really not sure what I want to do.
I have no idea if he's worth, or will bring what it cost me to make him, so I'm thinking on that part.
I don't have many breeding goals. If he were a mare, he'd definitely stay, but I cannot afford to do any of my GMT projects, let alone just make some colt a filly.
I've been thinking of starting some line with some higher papered horses, but I'm not sure if I could breed him to a sibling of his, given they have Frame and W. I get now that two Het Frame horses doesn't always guarantee a lethal foal, but I'm not sure if the W being added would increase that chance. Especially since he has a Freaky Friday dam, and a Yule Log Ashes sire. (If that even matters).
I suppose, since he's still a foal, I could stick him somewhere and allow myself until he's around 3, to decide what I want to do with him.Love,

Personally I’d have probably snipped him by now but I run under the notion that stud colts are a dime a dozen and if they are not ticking all the boxes and making you squeal when you see them and you just can’t wait 2 months to breed him then snip him, toss him in a show barn and move on.
I can’t really see him selling for 18k or more because to me he’s not really fancy genetically and I prefer to stay away from frame on my studs especially in the lower generations. The higher generations I don’t have as many intact boys so I’m a bit limited in weeding that out.
The only part of a horses parents genetics that matter is the half they gave to the foal. The fact that the dam was a freaky Friday stops mattering as soon as the foal hits the ground -
Also if you can’t afford your gmt projects narrow down some breeding goals, snip and show more horses to decrease your breeding fees and increase your daily bonus :D
It’s hard in the short term but worth it in the long run -
I'm with Bandit - if you're not loving him, snip. However, the fact that he's an A papered out of a B/yellow cross is pretty cool (and means he'll pass SBA), so you might try offering him up for sale at 5-10k to see if anyone else can get any use out of him first. If you get no bites after a week or so, he'll make a good show pony :)ISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!
God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time.
