Adding kit, not visible
-
Hello,
I added two strands of the kit to my horse, and it is not visible or listed in his genetic code? Did I miss a step?

Horse Id is 3182642
Thanks in advance -
Kit Promoter does not show up in the gene test. It is one of several hidden genes. The others are Gulastra Plume (GP), Dense Pheomelanin (DP), and Snowflake.
It also requires the horse to carry two mutations of the kit gene, either two different ones or two copies of the same mutation in order to become effective. This is why it's called Kit Promoter. Your Piston does not have any of them.

Ok! Thanks for that clarification.
I did add two mutations though to my boy. And still not seeing it. -
Are you certain you've given the right horse ID number. I'm not seeing two Kit mutations on this horse:

Yep... that's who i bought them for. Have PayPal receipts lol. That's why I'm confused

You’ll need to pm Ammit with the email address used for PayPal so she can find it.
That horse isn’t showing that he’s got any work done. What kit genes did you get? If he just has kitkit it doesn’t show on the gene sequence it needs to have a pattern to show (white 1,2,3,8 tobiano, sabino 1 or 2 etc.) -
So It should show on this guy? Or not.

You boy will need some of the other mutations as well as Kit promoter or it won't show.
So you need at least two of these as well as KP;
Kitr
Kit to
Kit w
Kit w2
Kit w3
Kit m
Kit sb1
Kit sb2
Kit w8
Kit w20#4519 -
@Xceptional sorry I saw your horse and got too distracted to respond!
Yep, it would show up on your horse as he's got w20. He's get cloudy patches from the kp :)#4519Thanked by 1Xceptional -
As has been said above, you need two kit genes for it to show.
Also keep in mind with the gene sales, it does not show tattoos like the GMT lab does for having gene work done. You can always double check it went through by attempting to modify again, but likely you just need to add the kit genes for it to all show up.ISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!
God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time.
