Constant last place
-
Constant last place as a foal. Possibly starating as a 2 year old also. Cull? Or can they rebound?
-
Foal showing only allows for two foals to compete so its basically a coin flip. I would give him at least another season and see what happens.
-
unless my foals are in the negative, I don't pay much attention until they are 2 or 3, depending on what generation they are
-
Plus, foals don't train. Only 2 year olds and up to their PT do. :)
-
I would definitely give them til the end of Feb, hidden. Like the others have said, foal classes are a coin flip and foals can't be trained. If they are still showing poorly at the end of the season and your barn space is limited, might make sense to cull in favor of a better performer, especially if you can afford to invest in an upper gen foal from the auction.
I try to invest in 5-10 gen 5 and up altered foals from players I respect from the auction at the end of every month. With any luck you're catching foals with PTs 11 and up who will be good show ponies for you, advancing quickly once they can train after monthly roll over. I never spend more than the auction minimum bid on them and I saw my points earned triple in January, between them and my older homebreds starting to do well. I've been trying that strategy since November and it's really starting to pay off, but you do need to have some barn space to make it work... -
Foal shows are pretty much meaningless. Give them at least another season, preferably two more.
-
I always give mine 3 seasons, then check.

thanks guys:-)
