Congratulations on the candy pony!
How are you determining that you didn't get any snowflake, though? The horse has to have appaloosa and be homozygous for snowflake for it to show. I don't think that there have been more than one or 2 ever created on either server that show it, although carriers show up occasionally. Even breeding to a homozygous app homozygous snowflake stallion, one non snowflake foal would not be proof that the mare doesn't carry it (although one hom snowflake foal is enough to prove it if she does).I was jllewis on the old forum.

Thank You! I honestly never held hope for one of these.
@OndowaStables out of the 18 I created I got one grey, one black, and the rest were bay and chestnut including the candy no Appys today, I just get to try again which is always fun ;) -
As OndowaStables said, any created horse can be a snowflake carrier, so don't despair if none of them are appaloosa and none show snowflake.
I believe that OndowaStables herself discovered a plain chestnut, non-appy mare was a hidden carrier when she bred the mare to a homozygous snowflake appy stallion and got an obviously snowflake foal. This was early enough after snowflake was introduced to the game that we were all surprised. Then Ammit informed us that, although quite rare, any created horse can be a carrier. And lined horses may also be hidden carriers, if the gene was invisibly present in an ancestor and handed down until the descendant was bred to a snowflake carrying appy with the gene.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
