I found this on the interwebs today while looking for ideas/reference photos for model painting. Horses come with curly coats? Who knew?

There is an American Bashkir Curly Horse registry, you could probably find a ton of curly coated horses on there. Curly coats pop up from time to time in mustang herds as well.

Ammit has considered having them as a gene, but getting the artwork right is proving VERY difficult!

I had a Curly Named Lilly of the Valley. They are a very different breed in looks, conformation and temperament.

My reg paint mare has a curly mane and tail. Not even sure what makes it that way but when she's all brushed and cleaned up it nearly makes ringlets. In winter she's pretty much a fuzz ball with the longest winter coat I've seen down here in Louisiana. In summer her coat is short like a normal paint.

I just want to state this just because......I'm using my school-issued computer that we're supposed to use for our assignments and whatnot. The links @towdolly posted are freaking blocked by my school because they are classified as entertainment. Honestly, I am so glad that I will finally be graduating this year. Well, June of 2019 but close enough.

Yes Wolfgang, it's not what I'd call a reputable site. The link for the "8 most rare and beautiful horses in the world" has several errors in it. Check it via your phone or home computer later :)
