How do you make tatoos? :)

So I thought that it would be best if I made some tatoos to sort my horses, but I have no idea what program to use or what the specs should be. I know that someone asked this before, but I can't remember who and what the post was called... (A link to any post explaining this would be helpful!)

All tattoos have to be 25x25 pixels. I use Gimp, which is free. Others use Photoshop or Windows Paint.ID# 43830

Or, you can ask another player to make a tattoos for you. As well as the 25 x 25 pixel dimensions, the tattoo can be no larger than 15 kilobytes.
I have a number of simple letter/number tattoos to make for HeavenlyHooves, but when I'm done, I can look into making some for you. Or, you can make a post asking for a tattoo designer. There are some very clever ones playing this game. I'm far from the only one around.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
