Knabstrupper spots...
-
Don't mind me. I am creating a quick reference guide for myself. So there will be many photos of Knabstruppers and their many patterns. Anyone serious in patterns will enjoy it but just note it is really for me so I can make sure I'm breeding correctly :). I'll put it into categories so it's not messy.
So without further ado.

@divinedreams. I did have to use a few appy photos since some of the patterns arent easily found due to Knabstruppers being quite a small portion of the horse population, but yes the majority of these are Knabstruppers and not Appaloosas. :) They share a lot of the same color genes, but are completely independent of each other.
In fact in North America they actually used 3 approved Appaloosa mares to help get the NA lines started. Bred to a European Knabstrupper named Apollon via frozen semen.Apollon :)
Pretty fascinating to think two distinctive breeds could have such similar patterns, but Knabstruppers came from a Spanish warmblood but I don't think anyone really knows which.~☼~Welcome to Burnt Hill Creek Farm
