Portrait reroll?
-
I hope I’m just missing something but I have paid for two portrait rerolls but the image hasn’t changed. Do I have to remove the tack first? I’ve followed the instructions and refreshes the image using the symbol below but I am still seeing the same thing.
Here is the horse in question:
RS Let Freedom Ring
ID#43150
Current projects:
- Bootstrapped WB's and Spanish-Normals in true-to-life colors (S+, sa, and DP focused)
- Arabians in true-to-life colors (Sa1, GP, and w3 focused) -
Did you use the little “turny” green button under the portrait on the horse’s main page, or did you go to the horse’s Control Panel Page and use the Reroll Portrait button at the bottom?
The turny thing “refreshes” the portrait for free, doing things like bringing up an image that hasn’t previously loaded or reflecting tack changes, showing you the adult portrait of a foal that hasn’t yet updated, etc. This is free. This does not cause major changes to your horse’s coloration outside of tack changes or the normal changes grays and Appaloosas have over time. (If left on “normal” backgrounds with no tack added, grays and Appaloosas will “refresh” every year). This will also trigger updates Ammit may have made to the programming, so for instance we will be able to refresh het Axiom/Nexus Horses that have lost their “stars” to get them back when Ammit fixes that bug.
The Reroll Portrait button takes you to the IV page where you can pay to actually get a new image of your horse if you don’t like its gene expression. Some horses can change dramatically with a Reroll, some will change very minimally or not at all. Tack will not hamper a Reroll. Please be careful with the Reroll page as hitting the back button from it may Reroll your portrait again, and charge you again...
No matter how much time you spend rerolling, please remember that horse images are not set and a gamewide Refresh (which happens every year or so triggered by Ammits as well as the seasonal refreshes to change the default backgrounds) or any other refresh of a horse’s image may cause it to change, particularly for Appaloosas or grays, or for any other horse if Ammit works on gene expression. Spending money on a Reroll does not freeze that horse’s image for the future... -
There may be small changes you don't see (especially under all that hair!:P) but in some cases, I think there just aren't a lot of variations available. I've done the same thing.
