Viewing deceased horses?
-
I tried to search for an answer but didn't have much luck. When I use the search tool and put in my user ID as the owner and check the 'deceased' box, I don't get any results. Then I realized ownership is transferred to the Archives when a horse dies. How can I view my previously owned horses that have died, if I wasn't their original breeder? Is it possible?

Their name or id number in the search box!DivineDreams ~ 30908

If they were used for breeding, the easiest tactic is to open an offspring and go to the pedigree!

If neither of those works (say, if it’s a show horse and you didn’t save their ID number or remember their name), there’s not much of anything you can do, I think.
Perhaps this could be something Ammit will eventually implement? A way to view all horses that passed away in your stables? I know I would like to be able to look through them, for sure.ISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!
God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time.Thanked by 1EdgyEmu -
Also a horse has to have living descendants to still be viewable, so for show horses unless they were bred at some point and have a direct relative still alive in the game you can't view them (they are deleted after death).
As long as a direct living relative is still in the game no matter how many generations apart you can still view the horse.Thanked by 1EdgyEmu -
I don't know if it is still a thing, but at one point you could open a barn in the search view, and scroll down and click deceased, and it would show the deceased horses who had lived in that barn? Something like that! It was just mentioned once and I don't remember all the details!

I have experimented with that just now, Confluence, with no success. No results appeared, even when I restricted it to intact horses. Of course, I have a lot of intact horses with no foals, and have had such for a long time, so that may have some bearing my results.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

I just tried that with a barn that I know had studs with get that passed away last season. The search barn with deceased didn’t not work - it came back with no results! So, it isn’t just you, Sandycreek!Thanked by 1SandycreekFarm
