Closed Genes

So I’ve never bought any of the closed genes, but I’m already in love with the Chinchilla that’s coming soon. If I were to buy a copy of a closed gene can I put it on an existing horse? Or does it create a whole new foundation horse? Or how does it work? Thanks in advance!

You have to have an unbred, 4yo (or younger) foundation horse. You cant put the gene on any 'lined' horse
Edit: id HIGHLY suggest using either a rank special or an exceptionally perfect horse, so almost if not all of the foals will pass BA.Thanked by 1CasinoStables -
At least, as long as you match type. Your chances of intact foals (with anything, not just closed genes) are best when you match perfect foundies to perfect foundies and experf/expro foundies to experf/expro foundies.ISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!
God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time.Thanked by 1levesel2
