When Closed Gene Foundations Age Out
-
I have several foundations with the Macchiato gene from when the gene was first released. I'm saving up to add Macchiato to a new foundation but am not entirely sure I'll make it for this sale.
So, I'm curious, what happens when a player's last foundation with a closed gene ages out. I assume we loose our breeding license but do we get flagged for still having offspring / straws / etc from our foundations? Will I need to sell them off or geld them before the last ages out? -
My understanding is that the license belongs to you, not to the horse - if your foundations age out or are sold, it won't affect your license.Thanked by 1Amgr1992

My ice 9 and 10 foundations have aged out, but I still have my license for those genes. I believe that selling your foundation with Ammit's permission can transfer the license, but otherwise it is permanently yours.I was jllewis on the old forum.
