Did you auction any horses at all? You loose a stall point with each horse you send to auction, but don't loose any if you just sell back to game.

Nope, hadn't auctioned any.

This happens to me sometimes, KAM, where all my bonus stalls temporarily disappear. You did exactly what I would have done to resolve it.

If I know my upgrade hasn’t expired, and I didn’t auction a lot of horses (especially when it’s all 20+ bonus stalls gone at once, rather than just one or two stalls), my next step is to log out and back in a few times, wait a few hours if needed, then log out a few more times. Sometimes I have to wait overnight, but the game has always figured itself out within several hours’ time.

“If at first you don’t succeed, log out repeatedly and try again later!” is my approach to most game quirks : )
