Fantasy genes, whether open or closed, cannot be listed on the public sales list. You can advertise that they are for sale and then sell them in a buddy chat. Or send them through auction, possibly? I know I’ve seen ice 5 and 8 intact in auction

Edit: I’m pretty sure you can advertise them for sale on the forum, I’ve seen them advertised before. Just adding in case I’m wrong

I got him from the auction, and he won’t (shouldn’t) need to be gelded to go back. However, I’ll probably just end up advertising in forum and selling through buddy chat.

I understand the mechanics, but the reason I posted this is that I’m curious as to whether this is a leftover mechanic that should eventually be changed, or a current mechanic that still has a specific reason. It seems odd to me that we can send it through auction but not post publicly, especially since, even though it’s fantasy, it’s not a closed gene. The same applies for the gelded closed genes - auction but not public sales. I’m curious as to if this should/will eventually be changed, especially with the new licensing system, or if there’s still a current reasoning for allowing a horse to be in the public auction but not on the public sales list.
