A new show barn. My show horses filled the last one this season.
-
New show barn. GMT a couple horses. Figure out the right replacement for my currently 17 and 16 year old third gen studs. Get a 13.5 PT.
-
Cull my mares... My breeding operation has gotten to large for me to really be effective. I'm lucky if I get through 2/3 of them without counting those who are going to age up in a few days.
And cull through my horses who have levelled off and get rid of the lower pointed ones who did so in a bad spot. -
1. Stop spending money, stop buying the ponies
2. Stop spending the monies by breeding
3. Wait until the first week of July to hopefully afford a 1000 stall barn.
4. Set new goals for July.
5. Be super skint.#4519 -
My main goal is to try to make enough money to try to get more out of a gmt project. Collecting and selling as many rank specials to add to it as the more gmts I get the more special she becomes :)Breeding liver chestnut drafts that carry snowflake and kp.
Also breeder of mushroom, watercolour, chinchilla, splash m, wrong warp and thunderstruck.
Horses generally always available.
PM me for any enquiries.Thanked by 1duelinghawks -
My main goal is to wind up with 15,000 show bonus by July. I'm almost there. I very rarely purchase anything from public auction so most of them are my own breeding stock, and that produces a lot of pride.ID# 24891
Specializing In G1-G7 WBs:
Appaloosa/Leopard Apps, Pearl, Thunderstruck, Watercolor, Snowflake, Kit Promoter (KP), Kit M, Ice, Satin, Nexus, Sooty+, Dense Pheomelanin (DP), Chinchilla, Mushroom, and Wrong Warp. -
My goals are...
1) Buy another 90 or 120 stall barn for show ponies.
2) Breed my foundie Ice 5 and my Macchiato RS to all my foundation mares in the pasture
3) Reorganize my breeding herd, cull what doesn’t suit my breeding herd -
1.) Properly bootstrap for the first time, using the KitM stud I bought.
2.) Build my show bonus above 3k/day
-
1. Get my daily bonus over 5000 a day, I'm so close!
2. Save up ivs for a years basic upgrade, 18 of 30 so far. I just don't wanna worry about losing my upgrade in a couple months.
3. Put a little KitM in my liver line with my newest stud.
4. Get bigger barns, eh.. we will see about that one. -
1) Get my Macchiato line started
2) Save up for a new barn (at least 120)
3) Get some of my uneven lines evened out as much as I can -
1) Sort through my horses and get rid of those that don't really suit my breeding needs.
2) Buy a bigger show pony barn
3) Start my DP macchiato appaloosa line (I'm the most excited for that)ID: 40723 -
1) Buy one or two barns and fill them all with show ponies
2)Weed out all of the genes that i dont want/or need in my breeding stock. (Either geld/spay the horses, or sell them)
3)Not to use a large amount of hbs on breeding or buying shiny new foals or horses
4)start my pearl line
5)work on my KP line
-
1.) Continue to work on my Era 5 line.
2.) Other than a few pet projects, back waaaay off the breeding.
3.) Evaluate and transfer a large percentage of my lesser producing pasture potatoes back into the work force.
4.) Harden my heart and snip. A lot. *sigh*
5.) Keep building up the show herd. -
@Ren, I have a DP/Liver/Macchiacto/Appy line that I just started with my FF mare (hom LP, PATN1, DP and Sooty), a Yule Log mare (hom DP, Sooty, Macchiato) and an ExPer stud (hom DP, Sooty, Macchiato)
-
13.0+. 13.0+. 13.0+. And the beat goes on. Almost got there this season. Come on Bootstrap Herd!
Also do a hard cull of foundation and gen 2 mares. Refill Gen 2 pastures post cull.
Consider dispersing my Foundation Macchiato Herd, particularly if Chinchilla comes out in June. (Flush eggs, pull straws, check how selling closed gene foundations works with new Licenses, possible forum auction).
Consider culling Red mares out of my Bootstrap Herd. Cull Bootstrap Stallions based on new colts produced (come on Superior colts!). -
I'd like to get my nightly to 5k, but with it not even at 4k yet, I'm not expecting to make it.
I need to get a second pasture to shuffle mares and breed to the right studs without taking them out, or putting them in the pasture was a waste of show points.
I need to cull my foundation mares in a major way and either snip or sell. I have a ton of champagnes I started out with but don't need or really even want to breed from anymore and way too many random mares. lol I have twice as many mares as show horses and that is of the bad. Yes, okay, pretty much every mare has 100+ points, but I have to choose whether to show them or get pasture bonus so they're not earning more points. I have thirty or so head coming up on 30 days in the pasture and three times that many who need to be staying in there so I have stalls for more show ponies.
Also, I need to concentrate on buying pointed show ponies next month, not so many foals. Right now I have about 50 snipped show horses but half are foals I bought because I'm a victim of "Oooh, shiny!" so they're not doing much at all for me yet. All are over 10 PT, pretty much, a lot even over 11, and most have earned a few points already, but still. Adult show ponies with points = good. More snipped foals with shiny colors/pedigrees/both = bad. Or, y'know, not good, at least. :3
(I also have a 30 stall barn of nothing but fillies I kept from this season, but we won't talk about them. Or my approximately 30 colts and studs. In August, my foal crop will be so shiny! lol)
Why yes, I do have a slight pixel pony addiction, why do you ask? :))Justa ~ ID# 44842

I would like to get my show bonus to 20K. Sitting at a little over 15K now. But with losing maybe 8 or so high pointed horses and then some in July it is not going to happen. I have become addicted to picking up the pointed creates that are posted for sale. :))
