  • Welcome to Hunt and Jump.

This is a game where every player sets their own goals and then works to achieve them. It's perfectly okay, though, to start out without a definite plan, then, as you become familiar with this very complex game, adjusting the horses in your stable to fit well-thought-out goals.

If you're wondering about how to make money with your stable, the surest route is to acquire some horses with lots of show points. Every time a horse shows, which is two times per real life week, it will receive points based on where it places in it's classes. Only the one that comes in last will not receive any points at all. Those show points are the basis for the nightly showing bonus. Unless you have horses with rare or much desired genes, it's hard to make money by breeding them and selling foals outside the public auction, or by putting stallions up for public stud. Showing is the way to go as you're starting out.

Confluence has said it once, but I'd like to stress the fact that we're a friendly group and are not at all in competition with each other. So when you find you have some specific questions, don't hesitate to ask them, either here in the open forum, or in the Beginners Barn.

I hope you're soon having a lot of fun with this game. I've been playing this version since 2013 and the older HaJ1 version since 2011. Some of the HaJ1 players have been active in the game for 10 years or more. You'll probably find, as many of us have, that it is an addicting activity from which you can learn a lot about horse color genetics.
